Regulation for the awarding of Czech Champion title

1. CAC – Certificat d´Aptitude au Championnat is awarded separately to dogs and bitches in each of the classes intermediate, open, working and champion (winner) at international, national, special and club shows that take place in the Czech Republic.

2. CAC can be awarded solely to a dog and a bitch which obtain the qualification „excellent 1“.

3. CAC can be awarded also to a dog or a bitch which already has got the title Czech Champion.

4. Only a judge who was properly delegated to the show can award CAC.

5. The CAC title cannot be claimed and is awarded only to dogs or bitches with exceptional exterieur qualities.

Awarding of the Czech Champion title is subject to the following conditions:

1) a) in breeds subject to working trials to be eligible for the International Champion title: successful passing of a trial that makes the dog elegible for entering the working class, and obtaining two CACs, of which at least one must have been obtained at an international dog show. The second CAC can have been obtained at one of the following shows: national, special or club show. The certificate required for working class must be furnished as a proof of passing of the trial. Breeders Clubs are entitled to increase the number of CACs required for the awarding of Czech Champion title. The request must be submitted in writing and approved by P ČMKU (General Committee of the Czech Canine Union).

b) in other FCI-recognized breeds: obtaining four CACs, of which two must have been obtained at an international show and the others at a national, special or club show.

c) in FCI non-recognized breeds: obtaining four CACs.

2) the above-determined number of CACs must be obtained during at least two show seasons (one show season = one calendar year) and from at least two judges,

3) awarding of the CAC is acknowledged by the show organizer in the form of a certificate of obtaining CAC ČR,

4) after collecting the respective number of CACs, the owner of the dog/bitch must submit the certificates of obtaining CAC and the dog´s pedigree (foreign applicants submit a photocopy of the pedigree) to the ČMKU secretariat, which issues the diploma confirming awarding the title and also keeps the necessary records about the awarded titles. The specimens that obtain at the same show the qualification „excellent 2“ can be awarded Res. CAC by the judge. The reserve CAC is awarded both to dogs and bitches in intermediate, open, working and champion (winners) classes possessing exceptional qualities, so that it would have been awarded CAC if the specimen having obtained the qualification „excellent 1“ would not have been shown.

When a specimen, which already has been awarded the Czech Champion title, obtains CAC ČR at a show, the title CAC goes to the specimen, which obtains Res. CAC in the same class. The owner of the specimen having obtained Res. CAC requests the confirmation of this title at the ČMKU secretariat.

Use of Res. CAC for awarding of Czech Champion title - construction:
The title Res. CAC proven by the written critique and the Res. CAC card can be used as CAC in case the dog/bitch having obtained the title CAC and the show had already have got confirmed title Czech Champion at the time of awarding of the Res. CAC. In practice, the owner of the dog/bitch, which claims the awarding of the title Czech Champion and discloses the title Res. CAC, is obliged to inform the ČMKU secretariat which specimen has obtained the CAC title (name and kennel, pedigree number, catalogue number) and disclose a copy of the written critique of the winner.
